Janus v. ASFCME

On June 27, 2018, the Supreme Court ruled against working people's freedom to negotiate a fair return on their work in their decision on Janus v. AFSCME Council 31.

In response, the unions of the Connecticut AFL-CIO and our allies held a rally and press conference on the steps of the CT Supreme Court.

You may have received something like this in the mail recently.

Don't be fooled. Don't give up your rights and your Union.

Local 749 isn't negotiating an "irrevocable contract" and no one is being locked into the Union. But only standing together can your Union remain strong. Recommitting to the Union changes nothing, but makes a statement to these billionaire controlled special-interest groups that the hard-working women and men who Make Connecticut's Courts Work stand together for fundemental wage and working conditions.

Reaffirm your commitment to your Union now. Download and print a union application, sign it and mail it to:
